Testimonials
“All of our teachers and students were thrilled with the presentation and performances. The students were engaged for the entire 40 minutes. Your mix of speaking and playing allowed for students to appreciate your powerful messages and the wonderful music. The manner in which you explained about practice, determination and success, as well as the demonstrating of your passion for playing an instrument was felt and heard by all. You have most definitely inspired some future musicians”.

The Program was amazing. The students are so talented. I loved the part when the students spoke about how they started in music. When such amazing musicians can relate to a crowd as all of you did, that makes a wonderful connection. Having the young students in the audience experience such positive messages about practice and trying anything is a testament to this group. I look forward to speaking with both the Elementary School and the Jr./Sr. High School in hopes they will offer your program to our local community. Thank you again for an outstanding musical experience with a talented and personable group of young musicians.

Telling the kids there was an incentive to listen to (the quiz with a prize) was very helpful at this age.
Wonderful job! "I thought the presentation was excellent. I was impressed with the music activities & lessons they taught the group. Great work!"

Wonderful! Such heartfelt musicianship! Choice of chamber music and solos were perfect. Hungarian Dance, the Waltz, The Swan, the Hedwig's Theme performed so well & exemplified the contrasts in dynamics, tempo and mood. The pacing of the 45 min. was great. Perhaps if you emphasized the key words a little more - Rubato, accelerando, crescendo, pizzacato. Have the kids repeat the word, maybe in a way that they could remember - "accelerando - getting faster", "pizzacato - plucking the strings - pluck, pluck, pluck", or something like that. It would be great to hear what the viola sounded like by itself. One question in the quiz - "Which inst. was the biggest" seemed too simple - what about "which inst. was the lowest sounding?"
Wonderful, wonderful job! And please come again next year! You are all beautiful musicians & it is so awesome of you to promote your obvious passions of music. Thank you so, so much!

Thank you for your performance! The concert was well planned rehearsed and engaging. Henry was confident in his speaking. Our students found all of the performers relatable and fun. The pieces of music performed were age appropriate for our elementary school. We would love to host you again next year!

Our elementary children loved! Back to Bach. We have taken them to symphony performances but they never became as involved as with these musicians. The fact that each of the performers was young and so very accomplished impressed the students and the teachers. The program was fun too. The leaders involved our children and asked questions of them and answered their questions. We loved that they shared how to become proficient with an instrument and never mentioned the word “practice.” Our students were not bored. They were awed. Thank you Back to Bach. We loved having you and hope we can see you again.

This was the second time I had the pleasure of hearing the "Back to BACH" performance. The young musicians were outstanding in their talents and I'm sure to have inspired their young audience to find their passion in music and instruments. I was particularly impressed with the way each child's question was handled. Answered with simplicity and importance. (Kudos Noah) I feel that this assembly was extremely beneficial to our students and look forward to future "Back to BACH" performances.

Our students enjoyed your performance very much. Your musicians are very talented and dedicated. It was a pleasure listening to them. The audience especially liked the chance of winning a prize. It kept them engaged in the presentation. Thank you for visiting and I hope you come back next year. Our violin students were happy posing for pictures with your musicians. It encouraged them to keep up with their practice.

A++ Wound recommend! The performers should project their voices! Perhaps practicing simple "one, two eyes on you" or "Clap once if you can hear my voice" to quiet the audience. I imagine many of the teachers in the room have learned to play a musical instrument (myself included). Perhaps you could have the adults/teachers raise their hands if they played an instrument (to other students that their mentors also have musical experience).

Thank you for a very inspirational presentation! Our students were completely taken by the level of musicianship and warm personalities of every one of the musicians. Your powerpoint presentation was great and the 3 steps you have mentioned were quoted in the following days, and we made a connection to the "7 Habits of Highly Effective People", since our school is a "Leader in me" school this year.

The program "Back to BACH" was an exceptional music demonstration. The musicians were very well spoken and talented. The program was very kid-friendly and the demonstration of each instrument was fantastic. The ensemble also concluded with a well known song from "Frozen" that the school children were delighted to hear!

"We are so grateful that Back to BACH has brought this performance to our school! It is wonderful for students to have the opportunity to see other youth who have incredible talent and who have worked hard to accomplish this level of competency. These musicians are an inspiration to students and we appreciate their willingness to share their passion with others."
